“In-country-study at Ibaraki National University was by-far the best experience [in my Bachelor of International Studies]. Studying outside Tokyo or Osaka meant Japanese – not English – was the lingua franca, which pushed me to use my Japanese more, and in a wider variety of contexts. And I made lifelong friends!  I am now working as a reporter in the Sydney bureau of Kyodo News, Japan’s largest wire service.“

Anna combined International Studies with a Communications degree, majoring in journalism.  She graduated in 2012.
